Woodside And Maspeth Libraries Reopening

On September 22 New York State Assemblymember Margaret Markey and Library Director Thomas Galante will officially reopen the Woodside and Maspeth libraryies that were closed for approximately 12 weeks for renovations.

Renovations at the Woodside branch include new customer service improvements; fast RFID self-service check out; a teen area; refreshed collections of books, videos and music; new computer seating and a bright, new decor. The Maspeth branch got all of the same renovations as Woodside plus a 24/7 book drop for returning materials.

The Woodside grand reopening will be at 10:30 a.m., at 54-22 Skillman Ave., and Maspeth at 12:30 p.m., 69-70 Grand Ave. For additional information, call 718-990-0704.
