CALDC Concerts- The Central Astoria Local Development Coalition (CALDC) Waterfront Concert Series Concerts for the "big kids" will take place in Astoria Park between Shore Boulevard and 19th Street and the Hell Gate Bridge and Astoria Pool. Concerts for kids will be held in Athens Square Park at 30th Avenue and 30th Street and Dutch Kills Playground at 36th Avenue and Crescent Street. There's no admission fee, no music charge. Just bring a chair, a blanket, your family and friends. Performances in the Waterfront Concert Series at Astoria Park are scheduled as follows: + Latin Jazz, featuring Bobby Matos and The NY Latin Allstars, Thursday, August 3. + Pop Rock, featuring The GetAway Drive, Thursday, August 10. "Summer Fun" Children's Concert Series coming up are: + Richard Stillman-A World of Mosaic of Music & Dance, at Athens Square Park. + Richard Stillman-A World of Mosaic of Music & Dance, at Dutch Kills Playground The Waterfront Concert Series, presented by CALDC, is made possible through funding provided by City Councilmember Peter Vallone Jr. through the city Department of Cultural Affairs and contributions from the following corporate sponsors: New York Power Authority, Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, NRG, Time Warner Cable, Astoria Federal Savings Bank, North Fork Bank, Doral Bank, and Thomas M. Quinn & Sons.
