Con Ed Workers Hand Out Water, Ice
At Ditmars Boulevard and Steinway Street, Con Ed workers handed out ice, dry ice and water to residents of Astoria and Long Island City. Other workers made similar distributions in Hunters Point, Woodside and Sunnyside when the massive power outage left homes and businesses in those neighborhoods without electricity starting on July 17.
