Library Closings

The Briarwood, Forest Hills and St. Albans Community Libraries will close July 29 for some 12 weeks. Cambria Heights is closing July 31 and will reopen September 7.

Improvements will be made to customer service in most cases and some libraries will have access to fast RFID self-service check out; an enhanced young adult area, expanded collections with more books, videos and music, a Cyber Center with more computers and wireless Internet access, new dcor and a quiet room.

The community libraries that will be reopening are: Jackson Heights, July 31, Woodside, Aug. 7 and Maspeth, Aug. 14.
