114th Precinct Executes 18th, 19th Search Warrants
BY LINDA J. WILSON

On Wednesday, July 12 under the direct supervision of Inspector Brian McCarthy, police of the 114th Precinct executed the 18th search warrant of 2006 at 18-41 21st Rd. On July 11 two perpetrators had been apprehended for possession of marijuana and a knife. In addition, a cellphone video showed one of the perpetrators with a handgun. This, in conjunction with admissions by the defendants, enabled the 114th Precinct to get a search warrant issued by the courts for the location. Evidence confiscated included a firearms silencer, a taser/stun gun, marijuana, packaging material, scale, graffiti paraphernalia and currency.

On Thursday July 13, at approximately 8:30 p.m., again under McCarthy's supervision, 32-14 Steinway St. was the subject of a search warrant by the 114th Precinct and the Police Department Legal Bureau. Illegally reproduced goods were seized and an arrest made. The courts issued an order to close the site. 114th Police Precinct Blotter
