Pennsylvania Man Killed At Christening Party A 22-year-old man, in town from East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania to attend a christening party, was fatally injured in an altercation outside a Woodside restaurant early last Sunday. Marcelo Chimbarazo, a cousin of the christened infant's father, according to sources, was among the party guests at the New Grand Buffet, a Chinese restaurant at 34-45 48th St., which had been rented out to the family for the party. Three men, possibly members of a street gang, crashed the party. At about 3:30 a.m., a shouting match ensued and quickly escalated to physical violence, with tables being overturned and punches thrown. The restaurant's manager turned out the lights and cut off the music and he and security personnel forced as many of the combatants outside as they could. The fight between Chimbarazo and the party crashers continued on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant. At about 3:48 a.m., Chimbarazo staggered back into the restaurant bleeding from his mouth and neck, possibly having been stabbed with a broken bottle. The restaurant manager called 911 and emergency medical services technicians took Chimbarazo to Elmhurst Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead at 4:03 a.m. Police of the 114th Precinct are investigating the incident. 114th Police Precinct Blotter Monday, June 12: + A 19-year-old white man kicked a bus shelter window, breaking the glass, at a bus stop at 42-07 Broadway.
