New Scanner At QHC Means Better Medical Care
The Department of Radiology of Queens Hospital Center (QHC) ushered in the arrival of a new state-of-the-art, 64-channel, CT scanning machine with a ribboncutting ceremony. "The new scanner will provide significantly better imagery in a fraction of the time the old scanner took and allow the hospital to serve patients, faster and more efficiently," state Senator Frank Padavan (R-C, Bellerose), a principal in the acquisition of the machine, commented. Shown (l. to r.) are: QHC Director of Radiology Bhupinder Khurana, M.D., City Councilmember James F. Gennaro (D-Fresh Meadows), Padavan, Borough President Helen Marshall, Ann Sullivan, M.D., Queens Health Network senior vice president, and Antonio D. Martin, QHC executive director.
