Markey Helps To Distribute Yankee Tickets
Assemblymember Margaret Markey (D - Maspeth) was proud to be able to help ConEdison distribute Yankee tickets to two community youth groups. Maspeth Town Hall and the Woodside Houses were the recipients of this year's tickets. The games are scheduled for June 25th against the Florida Marlins and August 1st against the Toronto Blue Jays. Under ConEdison's "Hall of Fame" Baseball Program, elected officials are asked to recommend community groups to receive the tickets. "Going to a baseball game is always a thrill for any youngster," said Assemblywoman Markey. "And helping kids spend a summer day at the ballpark is one of the best parts of my job."Pictured from l. to r. are: Assemblymember Markey, Anne Cotton-Morris, president of the Woodside Houses Residents Council, Eileen Reilly, executive director of Maspeth Town Hall and Arthur Cronston, manager of public relations .
