Peter Meyer Is Commerce Bank Senior Vice President

Peter M. Meyer has been promoted to senior vice president at Commerce Bank.
Commerce Bank (NYSE:CBH), "America's Most Convenient Bank," has promoted Peter M. Meyer to senior vice president. Meyer leads all retail and commercial banking activities for Commerce in Brooklyn and Queens.

Meyer, who has been a local banker for more than 25 years, joined Commerce Bank in 2002 as regional vice president for Brooklyn and Queens. He has directed the bank's dramatic growth throughout the two boroughs, where Commerce now provides 18 convenient locations for local customers, eight in Brooklyn and 10 in Queens. Commerce plans to open three new retail locations in Brooklyn and another three in Queens in 2006.

Meyer is a resident of Brooklyn Heights and is active in local community and business organizations. He serves as vice chairman of the board of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, as a member of the board of trustees of the Queens Museum of Art, as a board member of the Long Island City Business Development Corporation and as an executive board member of the Downtown Brooklyn Alliance.

Meyer earned a B.S. degree from St. Joseph's College and an M.B.A. from Long Island University.
