114th Police Precinct Blotter
Tuesday, March 7:

+A 51year-old white male was arrested after a verbal argument with a female at 588 Main St. He was arrested for physically injuring the victim when he picked her up and threw her to the ground. He was also charged with harassment.

+A 59-year-old white male was engaged in a verbal dispute with a female at 34-16 Astoria Blvd. The defendant proceeded to threaten the victim with a knife as well as threatening to choke the victim, causing her to be in fear of her safety.

+A 39-year old Asian male was observed traveling westbound on 35th Avenue at 37th Street, operating his vehicle while not wearing a seatbelt. A car stop was conducted and a DMV check revealed he was operating the vehicle with a suspended license.

+A 39-year-old white male was in possession of stolen property and charged with petit larceny when seen removing merchandise and plastic tags from merchandise on shelves at a store located at 50-10 Northern Blvd. The defendant proceeded to pass all points of sale without paying for the merchandise and did not have permission or authority to do so.

Wednesday, March 8:

+A 33-year-old Hispanic woman was charged with criminal contempt after a victim complained of receiving multiple emails from the perpetrator stating "hypocrisy, lies and evil will not be forgiven." In sending the e-mails, the perpetrator was in violation of a valid order of protection. The perpetrator ws arrested at the 114th Precinct station house at 34-16 Astoria Blvd.

+A 22-year-old white female who claimed she had been robbed at 34-16 Astoria Blvd. was charged with filing a false report of the incident.

+A 31-year-old Hispanic female committed assault with intent to cause physical injury. The defendant continued to harass the complainant and initiated an altercation resulting in swelling and bruising to the left side of the victim's face at 34-01 38th Ave.

+A 36-year-old black male was observed making an illegal left turn at Hoyt Avenue and 31st Street. A car stop was conducted and a DMV check revealed the defendant was operating the vehicle with a suspended license.

+A 23-year-old Asian male was observed by a store security guard removing merchandise and attempting to exit the store located at 32-50 Vernon Blvd. The defendant was charged with petit larceny.

Thursday, March 9:

+A 32-year-old Hispanic male was observed in a 1996 Red Honda vehicle disobeying a red light signal at 31-57 44th St. A car stop and DMV check revealed the defendant to be operating the vehicle with a suspended license. The defendant was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and violating a traffic device.

+A 47-year-old white male was charged with criminal possession of stolen property, possession of burglar tools and petit larceny when he was observed by an assistant store manager at 22-15 31st St. placing miscellaneous store items into a black bag and exiting the store without making payment.

+A 19-year-old Hispanic male was observed by a caller putting "tags" on the side of a building at 37-01 31st St. The defendant was found to have two broad-tip markers in his possession and was charged with criminal mischief, making graffiti and possession of a graffiti instrument.

+A 52-year-old white male was accused of causing annoyance and alarm when he hit a defendant in the face with his open palm, resulting in substantial pain and swelling. The incident occurred at 18-19 26th Ave. The defendant was charged with assault with intent to cause physical injury and harassment.

Saturday, March 11:

+A 22-year-old Hispanic male was observed traveling southbound on 31st Street at 36th Avenue, crossing a double yellow line into oncoming traffic without signaling. Upon car stop it was noted the defendant had bloodshot eyes and slurred speech and the odor of alcohol emanated from the vehicle. He was charged with DWI, unsafe lane changing and violation of a traffic sign.

+A 32-year-old black male was operating a gray Volvo northbound on Shore Boulevard without headlights and proceeded to stop his vehicle, thereby blocking vehicular traffic. Upon further investigation, the defendant had bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and a slight odor of alcohol was present. An open bottle of Grey Goose vodka was observed in plain view on the floor in front of the passenger side seat. The defendant was charged with DWI, open container of alcohol in public and violation of equipment (no headlights).

+Three Hispanic males, ages 30, 31 and 36, at 30-02 36th Ave. demanded money from a victim and proceeded to strike the victim in the head with a beer bottle. The victim sustained a laceration requiring staple stitches. The defendants were charged with gang assault and robbery.

+Four Hispanic males, ages, 18, 20, 21, 22, were observed inside a fenced in area of a NYC public school at 21st Street and 21st Drive past the posted hours for closing. Two of the defendants were found to be in possession of marijuana, while all four were charged with criminal trespassing.

Sunday, March 12:

+A 42-year-old white male was sleeping inside an establishment at 31-17 30th Ave. and refused to leave upon request. The defendant was reluctant to show ID, which upon further investigation revealed the defendant to be in violation of a warrant. The defendant has been known to frequent this location often and cause annoyance and alarm to employees and customers. He was charged with criminal trespassing and failure to respond to an appearance for a ticket.
