Memorial Service Held For Local Families

All families who lost a loved one over the course of the last 100 years were invited to take part in a nondenominational memorial funeral service last Saturday, March 4 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church, 23-25 Newtown Ave. The service was sponsored by Morisco Funeral Home, 30-12 Astoria Blvd., to commemorate Morisco's 100th year in the business of serving the families of Astoria and Long Island City in their hour of need.
