St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 43-19 30th Ave., Astoria, held its second annual parish festival and bazaar in honor of St. Padre Pio of Pietrelcina from September 21 to 24. The high point of the celebration came on Saturday, September 23, when after Holy Mass in honor of St. Pio, the statue of the saint was carried through the streets of the parish at the head of a festive procession.
