Born and raised in Astoria, Howard Corrigan, son of Miriam and Howard, was born October 30, 1951 and died on October 5, 2006.

A retired firefighter who lived in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, he is survived by his wife, Edith, nee Falterman, and sons Howard, a firefighter with the New York City Fire Department, and Scott, serving in the United States Air Force.

In honor of their fallen brother, the NYFD escorted the funeral procession through Queens to Calvary Cemetery.

The Corrigan family received visitors at Thomas M. Quinn & Sons, Inc., 35-20 Broadway, on October 10. A Mass followed at Most Precious Blood Roman Catholic Church, both in Long Island City.
