'Little Prince' Opera Performed
In the background, Dr. Antigone Vlachoyannis in her eighth year of bringing opera appreciation and enrichment to the William Spyropoulos School. Opera students at The William Spyropoulos School presented "The Little Prince" on Tuesday, June 13 in the school's Assembly Hall.
The Little Prince, an opera by Rachel Portman with an English libretto by Nicholas Wright, is based on the 1943 book written by Antoine de Saint-Exupery.
An all-star cast of students from the William Spyropoulos Greek-American School was directed by Dr. Antigone Vlachoyannis, an advisor to the New York City Opera Education Committee.
