Barsamian Speaks Out On Steinway Street Bridge
     Photo Vinny DuPre Tony Barsamian (l.) chairman emeritus of the Steinway Street Business Improvement District, was interviewed by Joe Avellar, reporter for WNBC Channel 4 Television News last Friday. Barsamian, who is also the publisher of the Gazette, pointed out that the Triborough Bridge was built faster, and more efficiently, and with fewer problems, than has been the case with the Steinway Street Bridge. Demolition efforts first began in June 2004, but were halted after a motorist was injured when a concrete slab fell onto the Grand Central Parkway in July 2004.
