CALDC Children’s Series In Full Swing

The “Summer Fun” Children’s Series presented by the Central Astoria Local Development Coalition (CALDC) will continue on July 26 in Athens Square Park, 30th Avenue and 30th Street, and on Wednesday, July 20 at the Dutch Kills Playground, 36th Avenue and Crescent Street. The performances start at 10:30 a.m.

The Summer Fun Children’s Series, which will continue each Tuesday and Wednesday through August 10 combines education with meaningful entertainment featuring artists specializing in children’s performances in the fields of music, storytelling and theater. Over the years, these performances have been greatly enjoyed by children of all ages.

The following performances are also scheduled:

Athens Square Park - Tuesdays, 10:30 a.m.

July 26—The Rain Forest

August 2—World Mosaic of Music & Dance

August 9—Be Cool, Be Safe

Dutch Kills Playground-Wednesdays, 10:30 a.m.

July 27—The Rain Forest

August 3—World Mosaic of Music & Dance

August 10—Be Cool, Be Safe

The series is made possible through funding provided by the Queens Council on the Arts Decentralized Program, City Councilmember Eric Gioia through the Dutch Kills Civic Association, and Councilmember Peter Vallone Jr. with the cooperation of the New York City Department of Parks Foundation.
