Theatre Sans Fils, an award-winning puppet company inspired by the Japanese tradition of Bunraku theater, will perform a magical production based on children's dreams at the LaGuardia Performing Arts Center on May 21.

"The Dream Catchers" follows Melissa and her little brother Jeffrey on a journey from the most innocent dream of a delightful garden, to a scary one with monsters, to a satisfying one where the dreamers fly away. At the end of their journey they discover that nightmares cannot hurt them.

The story is told by larger-than-life puppets, which perform amidst magical special effects, including black-light theater.

The family series performance will begin at 2 p.m. in the college's Mainstage Theatre at 47th Avenue and Van Dam Street in Long Island City.
