The American Legion Continental Post 1424 held a wreath-laying ceremony at the World War I Memorial in Flag Pole Green, Forest Hills Gardens on Saturday, November 13th. The ceremony honored the veterans of the United States.

The ceremony was short and dignified. It included poetry readings, brief remarks from community leaders, clergy and American Legion Post officers. In addition, the Post Honor Guard fired a ceremonial salute and a bugler sounded Taps.
