Councilmember James F. Gennaro, r., presented a City Council Proclamation to Stanley Weinblatt for a lifetime of service to the community and advocacy for the handicapped. The Proclamation was presented to Mr. Weinblatt at the Community Board 8 meeting on Wednesday June 9. In addition to the Proclamation, Gennaro also honored Weinblatt with the Senior Citizen of the Year award at a City Hall ceremony.  The ceremony, hosted by Council Speaker Gifford Miller (D-Manhattan) and Council Member Maria Baez (D-Manhattan) celebrated Senior Citizens Month and recognized senior citizens, selected by individual councilmembers, who exemplify the spirit of New York City in their community service.
