Continuing with its long-standing commitment to children and education, Con Edison generously donated $1,000 to the New York Child Learning Institute, a school for children with autism. The donation will go towards the school’s math and science program.

On hand for the check presentation ceremony, which took place at the College Point school, were Assemblymember Mark Weprin, Con Edison Queens Director of Public Affairs Carol M. Conslato, Association for the Advancement of Blind and Retarded (AABR) Director of Development John Frank and the Institute Director Sue Vener.

The New York Child Learning Institute is a program of AABR, a non-profit agency serving persons who are blind, mentally retarded or who have autism. For more information about the agency, visit www.aabr.org.
