Councilmember John C. Liu, chairman City Council Transportation Committee demonstrated the Segway Human Transporter at City Hall last Thursday. He was joined by members and Matt Dalida, a manager at the Segway Company. The Segway is a self-balancing, two-wheeled transportation device designed for short-distance travel. The United States Postal Service, the United States Parks Service and many cities across the United States have tested the Segway for use in various municipal functions.
