Water Seepage Problem Repaired Councilmember Peter Vallone Jr.  met with officials from Amtrak and the Department of Transportation to discuss several problems in the Astoria area.  Resulting improvements from this meeting include leeching the drain of Hell Gate Bridge, pictured at right, in order to ensure no drainage problems.  Amtrak and DOT crews have coordinated and will perform spot paving repairs of the brick sidewalk leading to Ditmars Parking Lot 2, which had been damaged by a build up of ice.
