City Councilmember Tony Avella, as founder and former president of the North Shore Anti Graffiti Volunteers, has made a personal commitment to rid Queens of graffiti. Bayside Hills residents recently brought to his attention the Hot Bagel store, located at 213th Street and Horace Harding Expressway. Avella personally painted over all the graffiti on the store’s gates and walls.
