On Saturday, April 27, 33rd Road at 21st Street was renamed Christopher Santora Place to commemorate Santora, a New York City firefighter who grew up in the Queensview cooperative housing complex and died in the September 11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. Participants in the ceremonies included City Councilmember Peter Vallone, Jr.. (l.), Assemblymember Michael Gianaris and Vallone's two daughters. More photos on P. 57
