The third grade students of a teacher at a school in California who had attended Most Precious Blood School in Long Island City sent cards and letters to their instructor's alma mater after the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center. To show their appreciation, the student body, faculty and staff of Most Precious Blood formed "NYC" and sent the picture to their California counterparts. The Most Precious Blood students also made cards, wrote letters and sent good wishes to all emergency personnel working at Ground Zero. Some firefighters responded with a picture of themselves holding a thank-you banner and the New York City Police Department sent sleeve patches to one class at the school. More...

Tomorrow will be a Thanksgiving Day like few others in this country's history. Only nine days ago an airliner fell out of the sky over Belle Harbor, killing all 266 people on board and at last count five on the ground. Two months and one day before this catastrophe New York City and all America suffered the greatest attack on civilians in this country's history when hijacked airliners smashed into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.
