myles kevels “It’s important for anyone who has kids in school to become very much involved with the teachers in the school. Some people just think of school as a place where kids go for a few hours and it’s someone else’s job. We all need to help the teachers.”

How can parents or grandparents be supportive of the schools’ teachers ?
|bill coyle “The best support we can give our teachers is to give our children proper support, proper love and family environment. If we don’t do this for our children, how can teachers make up for it. Kids need love. They often get punishment instead of praise at home.”||rose lenzo “A teacher should be given more authority to run her class. If the teacher decides to remove a student from class for behavior problems, it should be done to show students she/he means business.”|
|maria camba “I think parents should help the children with their homework, making sure they do it before spending hours before a television set and outside playing with their friends. They should pay attention to the teacher who prepared the lesson and not blame the teacher.”||audrey canty “The best support they can give is to monitor their children. Be sure they do their homework. Have a set place in in the home for them to do their homework and be ready to assist them, if necessary.”|
|alicia flores “Parents need to meet with the teachers and child about behavior and learning experiences in school. Everyone should make learning the most important reason for going to school. If the family is bilingual, fine, but having English and Spanish is important in this area.”|
