As ranking Democratic member of the Foreign Operations Subcommittee, Lowey co-chaired the trip with Kolbe, Chairman of the subcommittee, during the recent Congressional recess. Lowey visited many programs in the region supported by the U.S. foreign aid package, which the Foreign Operations Subcommittee oversees.
