To honor those in the New York City Fire Department, New York City Department of Sanitation and the New York City Police Department who have given their lives in the line of duty.

Saturday, May 5 the Flag Committee of Queens will hold their 7th Annual Flag Day Ceremony. Honorees for this event are:

•Chief James Tuller, New York City Police Department;

•Chief Gerard Barbara, New York City Fire Department;

•Ray Melville, Local 3, Electrical Union;

•Thomas J. Scotto, Drug Enforcement Agency, New York City Police Department;

•Senior Investigator Francisco Diaz, New York State Police;

•Mario Basquez, Fox Channel 5;

•Paul Mohabir, executive director, Long Island City YMCA;

•Rear Admiral Joseph Stewart, United States Merchant Marine Academy.
