|Yvonne George “Dena Spurling conducts a school for the arts where my son, daughter, and I have been trained beautifully, along with so many others—children from three-years-old through adults. Parents are appreciative of this special training in their neighborhood.”||Betty Mathew “Barbara Jordan was a person I always admired. She was particularly articulate when Lyndon Johnson was our president. She had a crippling case of arthritis that put her in a wheelchair, but became a professor at the University of Texas.”|
|James Mathew “William V.S. Tubman founded the REpublic of Liberia and greatly modernized the country in 1921 as a haven for freed American slaves and during his presidency gave the vote to women and tribe members. For years it was peaceful, but now it’s unstable.”||Bianca Armitstead “Howard Lewis Lattimer as an electrical engineer developed the carbon filament which made light bulbs a commercial success. He worded on the electrification of New York City, London and Toronto. the tune for the Gospel song “This Little Light of Mine” was named in Lattimer’s honor.”|
