In a celebration of 35 years of Medicare, Genevieve Syring (c.), a member of HANAC Ravenswood Senior Center over 100 years old, was honored as one of the first Medicare recipients living in New York. At the celebration, she cut the cake and was recognized with a lunch. She was one of the liveliest people at the event. Another senior of 100, Mary Gross, was also, honored in New York City.
