Rep. Nita Lowey (D-Queens), above, spoke out against the Medicare prescription drug bill that Congress narrowly passed on July 28th. Lowey, a member of the Democratic Caucus Health Task Force, voted against the bill and urged Congress to pass a stable, meaningful prescription drug benefit. "Too many seniors literally have to choose between purchasing needed medications and putting food on their table.
