Not too many years ago an epidemic of "whirlpooling" took place in city swimming pools, including many such facilities here in Queens. Girls and young women were surrounded by packs of teenagers that in some cases included slightly older males and were fondled and otherwise accosted. It's plain to see what happened to the perpetrators--they grew up, at least chronologically, went to the Puerto Rican Day parade June 11th and decided to take their mindlessly evil idea of what constitutes fun to Central Park afterward. At last count 44 young women have come forward to tell of being set upon, mauled, pawed, at last partially divested of their clothing and subjected to a number of sexual indignities.
