Living On The Edge
Seven city parks create 121 acres of dazzling public green space on the edge of Astoria and Long Island City. These parks line the East River offering dramatic views of the Manhattan skyline and of our tremendous bridges. Partnership for Parks launched Living on the Edge in 1999 with an international film series at Socrates Sculpture Park, Latin concerts at Rainey Park, children’s readings at Hallets Cove, marionettes at Queensbridge park, and Sunset Jazz at DeMarco Park.
