“I enjoy classical music. It’s exciting, has beautiful color and tone and I’m just in love with it.”
This week’s question:
What kind of music do you enjoy?
“I like classical music like Tchaikovsky, Schumann, Beethoven and many other composers, but frankly I don’t care for Bach.”

“I enjoy the Irish music on the radio because it reminds me of times past with relatives who have gone on and also because my daughter lives over in Ireland now, so I kind of think of her when I hear the beautiful music.
“I begin to think of Perry Como, Frank Sinatra, Dinah Washington and so many others whose music made me feel at peace with myself and assurance that music adds so much to all of us as years pass by. It’s nice for all of us to continue our thoughts and memories with others.”
“Music, what better subject? My recollection, as a high school student of talking to John Philip Sousa, many years ago and hearing him say to me, “Young man, some day you will play in my band,” confirms my great interest in band music.”
“My ears are open to all music, say, up the 50s! When in her teens, my granddaughter and I agreed to listen to each other’s music and be open-minded. I think she enjoyed my selections more than I enjoyed her’s! Brahms remains a favorite.”
