Sears Monitors 74th St. Hub

Council member Sears being interviewed by NY1 about traffic congestion due to construction of the new Victor Moore Arcade located at 74th and Roosevelt Avenue in Jackson Heights. Councilmember Sears announced that the progress of the construction site located at 74th Street and Roosevelt Avenue is well under way. With complaints of traffic congestion on the rise near the site, Sears surveyed the construction site herself on June 6. While she understands the grievances of the residents and local merchants surrounding the site, she feels the sacrifice now will be rewarded later. The site is expected to be one of the largest and most beautiful transportation hubs in the City, servicing thousands of commuters every day.
