BETSEY VARKEY I am thankful for so many things. My family, my friends, the chance to get an education. These are all just a few of the many blessings that God has given me.

Why are you thankful this year?
CLAUDIA CASTEDO Young people sometimes do not realize how much their parents do for them through the years. When my father was very sick I began to see much of what he did for us. Now I thank for God for him and send help for him in Bolivia.
TROY GEBORNE We enjoy Thanksgiving when we have a chance to get together with family and friends and eat a variety of foods and desserts. It's a time for renewal of love for each other. I'm especially happy where I work because daily I share with people from many parts of the world.
MARIANNA and ART KLEIN We have lots to be thankful for—family and friends, food and shelter, the country we live in which gives us the freedom to worship as we choose and good health and peace of mind.
FRED LOAYSA I am thankful this year for the mental and physical health of my family and friends. I am thankful for hope, despite the fact certain leaders of the world are ready to go to war. There are others who seek a peaceful solution for this problem, which is the best way to handle things.
FRED FEDERICI We have a number of holidays and now we like so many families are preparing for Thanksgiving. We hope that our friends and families will have a blessed time and be thankful for each other.
