McLaughlin Fetes 100 Year Old

Lucia Danzi of Flushing had a special guest at her recent 100th birthday party. Her local Assemblymember, Brian McLaughlin, arrived with a birthday cake to join with Danzi’s family in celebrating the new centenarian’s achievement. Danzi has lived in the same house in Flushing for 45 years, has built a reputation as a volunteer and received the Ellis Island Medal of Honor, sanctioned by Congress in 1986, McLaughlin said. "Everyone touched by her life is richer for the experience," said the lawmaker. "Everyone who knows her wishes her another 100 years."
