It’s Official-
Nathan’s Famous Are Cyclones Hot Dogs

Brooklyn Cyclones Pitching Coach, former Met Bobby Ojeda holds a Nathan’s hot dog at the legendary eatery in Coney Island. Nathan’s hot dogs are the “dog” of choice at the Cyclones’ KeySpan Park.

What would a baseball game be without a great hot dog? That’s exactly what fans of the Brooklyn Cyclones have been asking for the last few months. And come opening day June 25, they will sit in the stands and hear "Get Your Nathan’s Famous Here!"

"Nathan’s Famous was the only choice for the official hot dog of the Cyclones," Jeffrey S. Wilpon, executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Brooklyn Cyclones, said. "When people think Brooklyn, they think Nathan’s. We have to give the fans what they ask for—great hot dogs and great baseball."

Some 40 years after the Dodgers left Brooklyn, two Brooklyn greats—professional baseball and Nathan’s Famous—will be united at KeySpan Park in Coney Island when the Brooklyn Cyclones take the field for the first time. Fans will be able to get Nathan’s Stadium Hot Dogs at any of the 6,500 seats as mobile vendors walk the stadium, or at any of the concession stands around the ballpark. Get ready to sit back, watch the Cyclones in their inaugural season, grab a Nathan’s Famous and enjoy professional baseball’s historic return to Brooklyn.

The Cyclones are the new Class A affiliate of the New York Mets, playing in the New York–Penn League. Fans in attendance will get first crack at catching up and coming stars. Former players who rose through the NY–Penn League include such current Mets stars as Al Leiter, Jay Payton and Benny Agbayani.

Edgar Alfonzo, the brother of New York Mets All-Star second baseman Edgardo Alfonzo, will manage the team, while former New York Mets stars Bobby Ojeda and Howard Johnson have signed as pitching coach and hitting instructor, respectively.

The Cyclones season will consist of 76 regular season games with 38 home games played at KeySpan Park. Opening Day is June 25. Season tickets are currently on sale. Ticket information is available by calling (718) 449-TIXS (8497), or visiting the team’s website at www.brooklyncyclones.com.
