AAC Baseball Club Celebrates Wins, Gifts

The Clippers Baseball Club Awards Dinner was held Dec. 15th at Riccardos’. Representatives of City Council Speaker Peter Vallone and Congressmember Carolyn Maloney received awards for their support of the youth organization. Charmer Industries Board Member Mary McGovern accepted an award on behalf of Charmer Industries for their continued support from Amateur Athletic Club of New York Director Hector Algarroba and AACNY Founder and President John Bulone. The 14-year-old Clippers Baseball Club of the Amateur Athletic Club of New York celebrated four championship titles won in 2000 at Riccardos’ Dec. 15th. The Clippers Baseball Club has teams of 10 to 16 years of age. Teams play throughout the five boroughs and Long Island and travel as far as Florida for tournament competition. Many players perform for their high school teams.
