Hevesi Hails Vets

City Comptroller Alan G. Hevesi honored Elizabeth Carr, vice president of the Board of Visitors at the New York State Veterans Home at St. Albans at the Comptroller’s Veterans Recognition Celebration. Carr is a life member, and past president of the Blinded Veterans Association. She is a veterans of the U.S. Air Force and is the first legally blind person hired as an investigator by the State Education Department.
